Well, I can't believe I am even typing this but next week will be my last class and I graduate May 7. Those of you who know me know it has been an extremely long road but I am so happy and proud to be here. Finally after 12 years, 6 schools, 3 cities, and the many ups and downs of life, I will have my Bachelor's Degree!
I was 17 when I started going to Chico State and at that time I didn't care about school and had really no direction (in most areas of my life). In the five+ years that I lived in Chico I only finished about 1/3 of the work needed.
Flash forward to 2005 - I moved to the Bay Area (to be closer to Andrew) and started taking a few classes here and there. When I got the job at Stanford and learned about their tuition reimbursement program I knew this was my opportunity to get it done once and for all. I have been going to classes at least 2 nights a week from 6-10 for two years now and after next Monday night it's all over. I can't even believe it; it hasn't hit me yet. All I have to say is that it wasn't easy but now I know it was all worth it!
